Demnächst: Wiesbaden Entertainment Center

In Wiesbaden, Germany, a new $8.8 million entertainment center is under construction and is expected to open early next year. The facility will include a 16-lane bowling alley, a cafeteria-style restaurant, a bar and lounge, a dance floor with a DJ booth, a slot machine room, and a billiards and table games room. Additionally, there will be multi-purpose rooms for meetings and parties, a kid’s zone, and a video game room for youngsters.

The entertainment center is strategically located in the Hainerberg Military Family Housing area, near the Wiesbaden Lodge. This central location will make it easily accessible to Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members living in the surrounding housing communities of Hainerberg, Aukamm, and Crestview. The facility aims to provide a one-stop amusement zone for the community, offering entertainment options for all age groups.

The construction of the entertainment center is part of a larger effort to improve the quality of life for military families in the area. The Army Housing program plans to invest over $50 million in renovations and new construction projects in the community by the end of 2012. These projects include neighborhood renovations, new sidewalks, parking areas, landscaping, and the construction of a new Child Development Center.

The development of the entertainment center is part of the preparations for USAREUR/7th Army’s restationing actions in Wiesbaden. The facility will be a key part of the garrison’s efforts to provide quality facilities for military personnel and their families. Local officials, including Wiesbaden’s Lord Mayor, have expressed support for the projects as a symbol of the strong cooperation between the German city and the U.S. military in the region.
